THE SLOE JAM (home) As in jam made out of sloes--not to be confused with sloe gin (grin!)

This is a regular slow jam. We play oldtime fiddle tunes, bluegrass songs, old swing jazz tunes, and anything else that takes the fancy of a motley crew of old friends. We meet on Wednesday evenings in someone's home and usually play from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m.

This is Jim Stallman, our webmeister

If you are interested in perfecting your licks and jamming along with the Sloe Jam, then write me (click on Feedback on my home page). I'll pass your email address to Jim and you can receive weekly notification as to where the next jam will be held, at whose house, and what the directions are to get there.

This is Lyle Johnson on guitar

David Dean White on dobro and Dan McKown on banjo.

Barry Gainor usually plays bass with Sloe Jam, but he also plays mandolin and banjo and guitar (follow the link on my home page to check out Gainor & Friends).

See, here's Barry on mandolin, with Tom Lata on guitar.

We used to meet on the third Thursday of the month at the Cherry Street Artisan and here we all are, doing just that, and having a fine old time!
